Overview

A total of 15 credit hours are required to complete the Anatomical Health Sciences Certificate Program. Coursework can be completed in as little as two semesters. All certificate requirements must be completed within three years. All core courses and electives that are counted toward the certificate must be completed with a letter grade of C or better (C- is not acceptable) and an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better for all courses counted toward the certificate.

Throughout the program's four core courses, students will have the opportunity to acquire conceptual and practical knowledge related to human anatomy.  The coursework goes beyond gross anatomy, weaving in aspects of histology, embryology and physiology to provide a comprehensive scientific understanding of the human body.  Elective courses will provide students an opportunity to develop skills that are often overlooked: evaluation of biomedical information and literature, presenting information to others, creating a resume for application to health sciences programs, and a two week in person anatomy bootcamp where students will have an opportunity to dissect human cadavers under the supervision of leading anatomists.
